When the camera's Exposure mode selector
is set to P (programmed), the camera is set for
Programmed AE. Correct exposure, both aperture and shutter
speed, is automatically set by the camera according to the
brightness of the subject and a programmed set of
combinations of apertures, shutter speeds. and film ISO.
Metering control is done steplessly from a combination of
the highest shutter speed and minimum aperture all
the way to slower shutter speeds , and larger
apertures.
The advantage of this particular mode is
that it takes your mind completely off exposure so
that you can concentrate on your subject, and compositions.
